Launched by Cecilia Basari and Yuli Suri just two years ago, Isa Boulder is a swimwear brand whose spirit has distinguished itself. Designer Cecilia Basari, a graduate of Central Saint Martins, describes the aesthetic of this young shoot as “sexy and relaxed”. A look that we spotted on many trend setters, including Lorde, SolangeKnowles, FKATwigs and DuaLipa.
Handcrafted in small batches in Bali, Indonesia, and available in Canada at select luxury retailers such as Nordstrom or SSENSE, Isa Boulder’s ruched bikinis and one-pieces are cut from two types of fabric: a shiny stretch-satin jersey that looks great in the photos, and a slightly easier-to-wear matte jersey. Thoughtful elements such as crossover straps, cables, structured cutouts and corset-style laces add a whimsical touch to the different pieces.
