65 Stars Will Appear in Joko Anwars' Netflix Series Nightmares and Daydreams - 2024-04-23 09:23:34

NETFLIX officially announced 65 actors as stars of the series entitled Joko Anwar’s Nightmares and Daydreams, which will air starting June 14 2024.

The series marks Netflix’s first collaboration with Joko Anwar, paving the way for a new genre in Indonesian cinema, namely supernatural sci-fi.

“Inspired by my passion for exploring stories about aliens, but this time I tried to dig up something about aliens whose origins may not be far from us. This series has a lot of uniqueness to offer and I can’t wait to bring it to the audience,” said Joko Anwar in a Netflix press statement , quoted Tuesday (23/4).

The story presented in series form will be divided into seven episodes on Netflix and each episode will present a unique story with a different line-up of actors.

Viewers will be taken to explore the strange phenomena that occur in each story and a big answer will be revealed in the final episode.

In this series, Joko acts as executive producer and director with Ray Pakpahan, Tommy Dewo, and Randolph Zaini.

There are 65 actors who will star in seven episodes of Joko Anwar’s Nightmares and Daydreams, including well-known actors such as Ario Bayu, Marissa Anita, Asmara Abigail, Fachry Albar, Lukman Sardi, Nirina Zubir, Yoga Pratama, and Sita Nursanti.
