A German man was attacked twice in the city of Salzburg on Saturday. At Südtiroler Platz, the 65-year-old was shaken by a man and a woman and they stole cash amounting to a five-figure euro amount from his jacket pocket.

The perpetrators are 50 to 55 years old and around 170 to 175 centimeters tall. The victim did not resist or call for help. It also didn’t call the police.

Half an hour later the man was attacked once more. Young people robbed the German on Fanny-von-Lehnert-Strasse. They were around 17 years old and 175 to 180 centimeters tall. The perpetrators beat the 65-year-old and stole his wallet. They stole a high four-digit euro amount.

Witnesses to the second robbery called the police. A search was initially unsuccessful. The victim said he wanted to use the cash to rent an apartment in Salzburg or pay the deposit.
