Mohammed bin Hadi Al-Husseini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Pension and Social Security Authority, chaired the meeting of the Board, which took place yesterday, Wednesday; Where the meeting began by welcoming the members of the Council and then proceeded to discuss the agenda; Where he approved the minutes of his previous meeting and reviewed the measures taken by the management of the authority regarding the implementation of the decisions and recommendations issued by him, and also approved the decisions and recommendations issued by the committees emanating from it, which are the Investment Committee, the Higher Committee for Human Resources and Remuneration, and the Audit and Risk Committee.

The Board reviewed the report of the Director General on the work of the main sectors in the Authority, which are the investment sector, the pension sector, and the support services sector. As on December 31, 2021.

It is worth noting that the Authority’s statistics for the month of June 2022 indicate an increase in the number of employers registered with the Authority to 7,401 compared to 7,011 in June of 2021, and the number of subscribers increased to 87,982 compared to 85,857 for the same period from last year.

Statistics also indicate an increase in the number of retirees to regarding 481,26 retirees, compared to 24,834 retirees in June 2021, and the number of those entitled increased to regarding 18,523 beneficiaries, compared to 17,244 beneficiaries for the same period last year.

At the level of insurance expenditures for the insured, retired and eligible, it amounted to 396,220,825 dirhams in June 2022, compared to 327,825,020 dirhams for the same period in 2021.
