80 States Sign Declaration Against Explosive Weapons in Residential Areas – Foreign Policy

Dublin – More than 80 countries, including Austria, have pledged to refrain from using explosive weapons in fighting in populated areas. More than three years of negotiations preceded the signing of the agreement in Dublin on Friday. The term “explosive weapons” includes, but is not limited to, artillery shells, rocket warheads, mortar shells, bombs and improvised explosive devices meant.
