8,826 new cases and 9 deaths in 24 hours

A total of 8,826 new cases of COVID-19 infection have been recorded in the past 24 hours in Morocco, the Moroccan Ministry of Health and Social Protection announced on Saturday.

The new infection toll brings the total number of infections since the first case reported in Morocco in March 2020 to 1,043,225, while the number of recovered people has risen to 972,291, representing a recovery rate of 93.2%.

In addition, nine deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, when severe or critical cases reached 464, including 16 placed under intubation.

On the vaccination side, the number of first-timers reached 24,612,592 and that of people who received two doses stands at 23,008,141, the ministry said, adding that people who received three doses number 3,780,397. .
