9.49 lakhs ordered to be recovered from 111 KSRTC employees for defaulting on duty

Thiruvananthapuram: An order has been issued to recover the amount caused to the corporation from the employees who caused loss to the corporation by boycotting the duty and stopping the service in protest against the restructuring of the service. KSRTC is to recover 9,49,510 rupees from the salary of 111 employees who caused loss in five equal installments. The order was issued by the office of the Chairman and Managing Director.

The employees of Pappanamkode, Vikas Bhavan, City and Perurkada depots, which stopped service on June 26, 2022, have been subjected to the action. 1,35,000 will be recovered from the eight conductors who suffered a loss of income due to the suspension of service from Pappanamkot depot. A loss of Rs 2,10,382 will be recovered from 13 drivers and 12 conductors due to disruption of services at Vikas Bhavan. The order was to recover Rs 2,74,050 from 17 conductors and 11 drivers of the city unit and Rs 3,30,075 from 25 conductors and 25 drivers of Perurkada depot.

Apart from this, on July 12, 2021, eight employees of the Parassala depot were not present for duty due to the cancellation of the service and the loss of Rs. 40,277 was also ordered to be equally recovered from the eight employees.
