The latest updates show the physical toll the disease is taking on Slatten, 68. When Singh, 38, asked his wife during their video if she wanted to address their followers directly, her response captured the reality of her declining health.

Singh elaborated on the deterioration, explaining to viewers that the neurodegenerative condition is impacting her ability to communicate. Beyond her speech, Slatten is experiencing physical weakness.

Singh added that Slatten is losing strength in her neck and spine, which creates challenges when she attempts to walk or maintain her balance. The Visa Dilemma Keeping the Couple from Traveling to America
The couple’s original plan involved traveling together to the United States so that Slatten could explore additional ALS treatment options and access a stronger support system. Those plans remain on hold because Singh’s visa application was unsuccessful.
Supporters have urged Slatten to return to the United States alone to be near her daughters and family members. However, both husband and wife reject that idea. Having built a shared life in India—where Slatten originally moved to marry Singh after the pair connected online in 2011 and eventually wed in August 2021—they insist she is not merely finishing a temporary vacation.
More importantly, logistical and emotional fears bind them together. Singh worries that if Slatten travels to the U.S. with someone else, her deteriorating physical condition could prevent her from returning to India. Conversely, if he cannot secure a visa, they face the prospect of permanent separation.
