IApparently, an accident has happened in the south-west of Ghana, killing many people. At least 100 people are said to have died in a truck explosion near the town of Bogoso, local reporters report. Exact numbers have not yet been confirmed. The police wanted to comment later.
According to several Ghanaian media, a truck is said to have overturned during an overtaking maneuver, which is said to have led to the explosion. According to media reports, the truck was loaded with ammonium nitrate, which was allegedly intended for work in a mine.
Reporters said many local residents were missing and many died in the blast.
