Non-essential travel to the entire territory of Ukraine are not recommended, according to a recent Foreign Affairs travel advisory. All trips to the Luhansk and Donetsk regions and to Crimea are strongly discouraged.
“Since November 2021, thehe tensions at the borders between Ukraine and the Russian Federation and Belarus are growing. The situation is extremely unpredictable and new developments can occur very quickly. We recommend that you keep yourself regularly informed of the situation on site and be prepared to modify your short-term travel plans if necessary.“, say Foreign Affairs.
Belgian citizens who are currently on Ukrainian territory are invited to register on Travelers Online and contact the Belgian Embassy in Kiev.
