Who really gets money from the German state

It is an immense sum: the German state took in 1.6 trillion euros in 2020, in figures: 1,600,000,000,000. According to estimates by the Ministry of Finance, this is as much as the entire corona pandemic has cost the state so far. The money comes from taxes and duties and thus from each of us, be it through income tax, value added tax or social security contributions.
