National meetings on transition begin in Burkina Faso

In Burkina Faso, this Monday, February 28, the national conference on the transition is being held. A meeting during which the proposals of the technical commission set up by the junta will be discussed to reflect on the charter and the agenda of the Transition. The meeting should lead to the adoption of this charter and the roadmap for the transition.

Nearly 350 people from different socio-professional strata will take part in this meeting. These people will come from all parts of the country. Representatives of the entire political class were invited to its meetings. Civil society organizations, traditional and religious authorities, women, young people, defense and security forces, representatives of internally displaced persons, in short, the different socio-professional categories will be around the discussion table. .

« It is a consensual and inclusive approach desired by the Head of State, in order to take into account the deep aspirations of the people and involve all Burkinabè in the process. “, according to Lieutenant-Colonel Daba Naon, of the Patriotic Movement for Safeguarding and Restoration.

The works of these seats will consist of the examination and adoption of several documents resulting from the work of the technical commission set up by the President of Faso, Lieutenant-Colonel Paul Henri Damiba. These reports include the charter, the agenda and the charter of values ​​which should guide the action of the people responsible for leading this transition.

At the end of the work, we should know what would be the duration, the organs and the major projects of the transition, which would begin with the inauguration of the president.
