The inhabitants of rue du pont in Wandre woke up this Friday morning with a bad surprise. Part of the roadway was the victim of an uplift following a gush of water. “Around 5:30 a.m., our services were notified of the rupture of a water pipe“, explains the Liège police zone.
The power supply to the pipe has been cut off but the road must be repaired.
“Some houses have seen water seep into their cellars but no one will have to be relocated. we explain.
Rue du Pont de Wandre is closed to traffic between rue du Charbonnage and avenue de l’indépendance. Road traffic is diverted by these two axes.
