A spectator of the semi-final of Star Académie was treated to a big surprise on Sunday, when she attended with her spouse the penultimate Variety of the season.

After a medley of wedding songs performed by the Academicians, host Marc Dupré invited the couples in the room to kiss as part of a “kiss-cam”.
The game ended when Danièle Francoeur kissed her spouse Alain Pedneault. It was at this time that Marc Dupré directly challenged Danièle, visibly surprised that the host knew her first name.
Marc Dupré then admitted that the “kiss-cam”, was only a pretext to invite the couple on stage. The host first said that Alain had made a special request to the show, for the Academicians to perform a song that his wife really liked.
Once on the Star Académie stage, Alain took Danièle by surprise by kneeling on the ground and asking for her hand.
Very moved and surprised, Danièle Francoeur said yes, to the delight of her spouse and all the Star Académie audience who were able to see this romantic and touching moment live.
