At least three people were injured in a shooting on Friday in the American capital Washington, announced the police deployed in large numbers, which cordoned off a neighborhood and asked residents to take shelter.

“There are at least three victims, two men and a minor,” wrote the Washington police on Twitter, who deployed large numbers of personnel on the spot, equipped with rifles and imposing bulletproof shields. A university has been placed in a state of confinement.

The facts take place in a neighborhood in the north-west of the capital, which is rather well-to-do and usually quiet. Many residents were quickly evacuated from the area where numerous detonations sounded, according to videos shared on social networks.
