Inter Milan won the Italian Cup by dominating Juventus 4-2 after extra time, thanks in particular to a double from the excellent Ivan Perisic. This is the 8th Cup victory for the Nerazzurri.
It was after a match with twists and turns that Inter were able to get the trophy, at the expense of Juventus of Geneva’s Denis Zakaria (who played the first 67 minutes). Two penalties were notably awarded to the Nerazzurri, who transformed them to perfection on Wednesday in Rome.
The Nerazzuri of Simone Inzaghi are still in the running for a national championship-Supercup-Cup treble while the Bianconeri of Massimiliano Allegri will complete their first season without a title for eleven years.
