Kochi: The investigation team has issued an ultimatum to actor Vijay Babu who is absconding in the case of molesting a young girl. Kochi Police Commissioner Ch. Nagaraju. Vijay Babu finds out in which country he is absconding. Police have contacted the Indian Embassy in Georgia. Nagaraju said he hoped to find Vijay Babu’s hiding place soon and bring him back home.
Vijay Babu, who was absconding in Dubai, entered Georgia while the process of repatriating him continued. He left the country after receiving legal advice that staying in Dubai could lead to his arrest. Vijay Babu chose Georgia because he had no understanding with India to extradite criminals.
The Union Ministry of External Affairs had revoked Vijay Babu’s passport at the request of the Kochi City Police. It is learned that he had entered Georgia before this. Vijay Babu has assured the passport officer that he will be present by the 24th of this month. The conclusion is that Vijay Babu is less likely to surrender in the event of his entry into Georgia from Dubai. Vijay Babu has decided not to return home till the High Court rules on his anticipatory bail application. Defendant’s lawyers have also moved to approach the Supreme Court if the High Court rejects the anticipatory bail application.
