GOLDEN BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Two separate groups of migrants from Cuba landed in South Florida on Sunday, authorities said.
The first group, made up of 10 migrants, made landfall in the Florida Keys early Sunday. They were taken into custody and are the subject of an investigation, Walter Slosar, lead agent for US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), said in a tweet.
The second group of six migrants swam to shore near Golden Beach in Miami-Dade County several hours after their boat capsized. No injuries were reported, Slosar said.
