Azov militants in Mariupol used collimator sights from the USA

In the dungeon of the Azovstal industrial zone, among the burnt and broken weapons and ammunition of the Azov battalion, they found an American-made L3 EOTech collimator sight, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

It is noted that in the immediate vicinity of the place where this device was found, there were elements of a military uniform with the symbols of “Azov” – a khaki headdress with the logo of the nationalist movement.

The United States has repeatedly supplied weapons and military equipment to the Ukrainian military, but they were not intended for nationalist formations. Back in 2015, Congress passed an amendment banning the funding of neo-Nazis from Azov. Responding to criticism of deliveries to the conflict region, the United States stated that American weapons do not fall into the national battalions.

The detected device was created by the American corporation EOTech. This company in 1995 became a pioneer in the creation of collimator sights for compact small arms. At the moment, EOTech is an official partner of the Pentagon and a supplier of military sighting systems.
