At that time, he fell down a three-story building and narrowly escaped paralysis. Captioning an older Instagram photo, he wrote: “This is me in my back brace, circa 1998, about three months after falling three stories and crushing my spine, narrowly escaping death and paralysis… Grateful for my limbs everyday, that allow me to push my limits and live a life at my limit.”
Today the actor is fitter than he has been for a long time: at the age of 45 he has developed a six-pack and disproved the shock diagnosis. He regularly works on his back through yoga, Pilates and weightlifting.
