Senegalese defender Kalidou Coulibaly has arrived in London in preparation for his transfer to Chelsea FC, according to English newspapers Thursday.
And newspapers revealed that Coulibaly (31 years), who has been playing for Napoli since 2014, will sign a four-year contract, noting that the value of the deal will be regarding 40 million euros.
She added that Coulibaly will undergo a medical examination in preparation for signing the contract, and then join his team, which is currently camping in Los Angeles, to play a series of trial matches in preparation for the next season.
The newspapers also revealed that Chelsea is close to obtaining the services of Dutch defender Nathan Ake from Manchester City in the coming days.
Chelsea’s German coach Thomas Tuchel is trying by signing Coulibaly and Aki to fill the gap left by the departure of German Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid and Andreas Christensen to Barcelona as well.
Chelsea had strengthened its ranks with Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling on Wednesday and joined the team to Los Angeles.
