When did we actually forget how to sleep well?
New studies are now appearing every week that demonstrate the importance of adequate restful sleep. But Germany sleeps badly – and is not alone.
You probably know it too: In the evening you lie restlessly in bed, tossing and turning, thinking about the day, then switch on your smartphone or laptop again to distract yourself and only fall asleep much later – only to be woken up by the alarm clock in the morning, barely rested. What may sound anecdotal is everyday life for many people:
- to have sleep problems.
- 34% of Germanssleep too little“>
. For parents and managers, the number is even higher. - 31% of Germans complain about significant start-up difficulties in the morning.
- 30% doze off occasionally during the day, a sign of chronic lack of sleep.
- 10% sleep
