However, the excursion into the life of an author also brought her a profit: “Writing the book was very reflective for me,” says Vanessa Mai of the German Press Agency. “It’s good to write everything down, but it won’t be a reckoning.” She doesn’t want to “pee on” anyone with her book, as she says. “But I think I owe my fans a story like that. They also want to understand a lot. And they will,” promises Mai, whose eighth studio album “Metamorphosis” will be released on August 12th.
Away from the music industry, she puts on sneakers for the SWR YouTube channel “On Mai Way” and interviews sweaty guests on the treadmill, she was in front of the camera in a feature film and launches her own fashion collections.
