Kochi: The High Court said that the accused Swapna Suresh had conspired once morest the government in the gold smuggling case to continue the investigation in the case. The court rejected Swapna Suresh’s request to cancel the case investigation.
It has been registered under charges of forgery and conspiracy. PC George is also accused in the case in which KT Jalil is the complainant. The prosecution had informed the court that the statement of the person involved in the conspiracy was evidence once morest Swapna.
The prosecution told the court that even the ED cannot proceed with the investigation. The government reiterated the argument in court that Swapna made the allegation for political purposes.
