For the second time this week, the outskirts of the University of Antioquia became the scene of riots. And, as happened on Tuesday, they set fire to a police motorcycle. The clashes between hooded men and members of the Police take place on Barranquilla Street, which is closed.

The closure of Barranquilla, reported the Medellin Mobility Secretariat, was presented from the 1:33 in the followingnoon and it has spread. On Tuesday, the closure of the road took four hours, which caused mobility trauma.

The University is in a difficult moment of account of successive allegations of sexual abuse. For days, posters with allegations of sexual harassment have been seen hanging from various fences. It all started with the accusation of a professor at the School of Law and Political Science. Later, other complaints came to light in other faculties, such as Philology and Communications.

Tuesday’s protests occurred following a peaceful sit-in that sought to draw attention to the “inaction” of the institution and the authorities in the face of the complaints.
