Morocco and Mexico intend to develop their cooperation

The strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector was at the center of talks, held Monday in Mexico City, between Morocco’s Ambassador to Mexico, Abdelfattah Lebbar, and the Mexican Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Víctor Villalobos Arambula. The talks focused on the sectors of agriculture, rural development, fertilizer production and the investment opportunities offered to economic actors in the field of agriculture with a view to consolidating and diversifying trade between the two countries.

In this regard, the Mexican minister underlined his country’s desire to exchange experiences and expertise with the Kingdom in the agricultural sector, particularly through the Green Morocco Plan, with a view to establishing bilateral partnerships. The official highlighted the Kingdom’s potential in sectors with strong economic attractiveness as well as its position as a popular destination for Mexican investments in the MENA region, while noting Morocco’s achievements in recent years in the sectors of agriculture and rural development.

For his part, the Moroccan ambassador underlined the Kingdom’s desire to work together with Mexico to strengthen and diversify bilateral cooperation in the sectors of agriculture and rural development, in particular through training and the exchange of expertise with a view to developing trade between the two countries. The diplomat also highlighted the investment opportunities offered by Morocco to Mexican investors, the potential of the Moroccan agricultural sector and the importance of the various plans launched to promote the sector.
