Al-Marsad newspaper: Sheikh Adel Al-Kalbani, the former imam of the Grand Mosque, responded to some followers who demanded that he shave his beard after they described him as an open-minded sheikh.
Al-Kalbani said through his account on “Tik Tok” that his answer is very simple: “I am going around with the guide wherever he turns, as it was not reported from the Prophet, nor from his companions and the true generation of the ancestors that they used to take from the beard.”
And he added: “For the above, I stick to the beard, and it is not a condition that a person takes everything, meaning if a woman is lenient in one thing, he should not be lenient in the other thing.”
