A 33-year-old suspect was arrested for stealing a watch by sneaking into the top floor of a 14-story apartment in Minato-ku, Tokyo. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, it seems that he repeatedly stole from the rooftop down to the veranda through rain gutters, etc., and is silent regarding the investigation.

Yasuhiro Arashiro (33), unemployed and with no fixed address, was arrested.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, in July this year, he is suspected of sneaking into a room on the top floor of a 14-story apartment in Minato-ku and stealing a wristwatch.

After going up to the roof using the outside stairs, it is believed that he went down to the veranda through the rain gutters and entered the room through an unlocked window.

He remains silent regarding police investigations.

The Metropolitan Police Department has also investigated in detail that the same trick was repeatedly used to steal apartments in Sumida Ward and Koto Ward, and calls for thorough security measures such as locking even in rooms on high floors.
