When the case space became a problem when installing the GeForce RTX 4090, a product appeared to solve this problem.
This product, unveiled by Cablemod, is an adapter that converts a 12+4-pin PCIe 5.0 power cable (12VHPWR) to be perpendicular to the graphics card. RTX 4090 can be installed.
Installing this adapter prevents excessive bending, which has been controversial, resulting in poor terminal contact, and thermal problems, which is a welcome product for gamers who lack free space.
However, this adapter also requires at least 23.2mm of free space, so it cannot be used in a case with less space than this. It would have been nice to have a product with a lower height than this, but currently Cablemod is the only alternative, so no other choice is possible.
Cablemod plans to start selling this adapter in pre-order form on October 31st.
