The law is decidedly twisted. Even if we have the same text, there will always be as many opinions as there are jurists. On Friday, the Geneva Department of Economy and Employment (DEE) announced that it had issued a decision putting Uber “in compliance with the law for the past”, settling up to around 20 million francs the obligations arising from its employer status. This is the consequence of the judgment of the Federal Court which, five months ago, confirmed that the drivers of the platform were employees and not self-employed.
