BENGALURU: The Karnataka High Court has dismissed a plea challenging the Centre’s move to ban the Popular Front of India (PFI) and its affiliates. Naseer Pasha, who was the president of PFI Karnataka, approached the court. Along with PFI, organizations like Rehab India Foundation (RIF) and Campus Front of India were banned for five years by the UAPA Act.

The petition was filed by his wife on behalf of Pasha, who is currently in judicial custody. Justice M. Nagaprasanna rejected the plea. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta appeared for the Centre. The order banning the Popular Front was issued in September.
