A 22-year-old man was killed following a confrontation with officials from the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas), who identified the subject as a member of the “Tren de Aragua” criminal network.

According to military sources, the young man was fleeing from the Peruvian authorities, since he had perpetrated an attack with explosives on a police station in that country.

The deceased, who was in the company of an armed group, was located in the sector of the Colón-Ureña highway, in the state of Táchira.

The criminals began an exchange of shots with a Conas commission, which ended up killing the alleged member of the criminal group.

It was reported that multiple projectiles hit the 22-year-old subject, who fell without vital signs.

Following the military procedure, a Taurus .38 revolver and an offensive M26 hand grenade were seized.
