Elisal loses 15 million kwanzas per month with container vandalism – news

Elisal loses regarding 100 containers a month due to vandalism, at a monthly expense of approximately 15 million kwanzas, said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the urban cleaning company, Gonçalves Imperial.

Among the vandalisms, the removal of wheels, burning and theft of containers, has been recurrent, said the PCA of the company that operates in the municipalities of Luanda, Cazenga, Cacuaco, Talatona, Kilamba Kiaxi, Icolo and Bengo and Quiçama, serving an estimated population in more than six million inhabitants.

He also informed that Elisal has 100 new compactors and around 120 pieces of equipment for the most varied services rolling daily in the areas under its jurisdiction, “with a reserve so that there is no technical disruption”.

Among the difficulties pointed out by the manager for urban cleaning in the capital city are the disorderly sale in various parts of the capital, to which he advises residents to “dispose of solid waste at the established times, conserve Elisal’s goods and combat garbage in the community” .

He also guaranteed that the company is fully ready with equipment and men during the festive season to guarantee the cleaning of solid waste throughout the province of Luanda.
