Mumbai: Tata Trust member and Ratan Tata’s confidant and Malayali R. Krishna Kumar died of a heart attack. He was 84 years old. He passed away on Sunday evening at his residence in Mumbai.
Krishnakumar has held several positions in the Tata Group, including Head of Hospitality at Tata’s Indian hotels. The nation honored him with the Padma Shri award for his contributions.
Tata’s son and current group chairman N. Condolences on the death of Chandrasekaran. I was lucky enough to know him. His deep-rooted humanity makes him different. He was always interested in helping the less fortunate. We pray for his soul -N. Chandrasekaran informed in a statement.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also condoled the death of Krishnakumar. Krishnakumar’s funeral will be held at Chandanwadi on Monday at 4.30 pm.
