TEC: back to normal in principle this Tuesday, January 10 on the Liège network

by Alexandra Hartman Editor-in-Chief

The spontaneous strike of TEC Liège-Verviers bus controllers will end on Tuesday. A takeover agreement was reached during discussions between management and unions. Many lines will therefore remain canceled or disrupted on Monday, but the situation should return to normal on Tuesday morning. The list of disruptions is available on the website letec.be.

The strike began Monday morning without notice. It came not from the drivers but from the controllers, in reaction to a proposal to reorganize the service. The Robermont and Jemeppe depots had been blocked. 60 lines were deleted and a dozen disrupted. They will remain so this Monday followingnoon and it is only Tuesday morning that traffic should resume.
