“Monty, Monty come here, come here Monty.” But Monty just doesn’t listen. The American Ariana Giampietro has to find out in desperation. The 26-year-old from Florida has been taking care of dogs in need of care for years, but Monty just won’t listen to her.
Dog doesn’t want to hear – but there is a simple reason
A call to the animal shelter brings clarity: The pit bull mix had previously lived on a farm with a Spanish family for years. As she translates the usual commands into Spanish, Monty immediately jumps out, “Decharo – oh my god, you’re Spanish!”
Luckily her husband speaks fluent Spanish, he now helps her to translate all the commands for Monty.
