In a great match, Palmeiras defeated Flamengo 4-3 and won the Brazilian Super Cup

palm treeswinner of the last edition of the Brasileirao, was awarded this Saturday the Brazil Super Cupby defeating in the final Flamengoby 4-3, in the city of Brasilia.

At the National Stadium in the Brazilian capital, the São Paulo team kept the trophy, following the goals converted by Raphael Veiga, on two occasions, and the two goals by Gabriel Menino.

For the champion of the Libertadores Cup and winner of the last Brazilian Cup, forward Gabriel Barbosa and winger Pedro converted.

In Palmeiras, a team led by the Portuguese coach Abel Ferreira, the Argentine striker José Manuel López (former Lanús) was among the substitutes.

In Flamengo, meanwhile, the Uruguayans Guillermo Varela and Giorgian De Arrascaeta entered from the start, while the Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal (former Barcelona of Spain and Inter of Italy) entered in the second half.

The 2022 edition of the Super Cup had been left in the hands of Atlético Mineiro, who with the assistance of Ignacio Fernández (today at River Plate) and with the technical leadership of Antonio Mohamed, beat Flamengo on penalties (8-7), following a 2-2 tie in regulation time.
