Chelsea player and major stuck in the rubble of the Turkey earthquake

English media reports revealed, on Monday, that Christian Atsu, the former Chelsea and Newcastle player and Saudi pioneer, was trapped under the rubble following the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey.

The Sun said in a report on its website: Rescuers are desperately trying to find the former Ghanaian international, following he was trapped following the 7.8-magnitude earthquake.

Atsu, 31, plays with the Turkish club Hatayspor, who joined him last summer. He had represented Portuguese clubs Porto, Chelsea, Everton and Newcastle, in addition to Spanish club Malaga, and the Saudi pioneer before moving to the Turkish league.

And “The Sun” indicated that Atsu and the sports director of Hatayspor are still missing under the rubble in their homes.
