An engineer came up with the idea of making an iPhone with a dual charging port. This iPhone therefore has a Lightning port and a USB-C port.
Sometimes the imagination of some is limitless. Some decide to turn the Ligthning port into USB-C while others choose to add a USB-C port to the already existing port.
This engineer staged this new kind of iPhone in a YouTube video. We discover the reasons that led him to achieve this technical feat. We see him disassembling the iPhone, then adding the necessary components for the second USB-C port. The end of the video details the full operation of both ports.
The second port (USB-C port) works perfectly. The engineer uses it to plug the iPhone into a computer and even launch iTunes. This new USB-C port can therefore transfer files like the basic Lightning port.
This dual-ported iPhone has the advantage of being able to be charged while the user is listening to music with wired headphones or earphones. But is it really something really useful?
