The Dow closed up 38.78 points after expecting the Fed to raise interest rates.

On February 16, 2023, reporters reported that the US stock market closed higher on Wednesday (February 15) following stronger than expected retail data. Provides evidence that America’s economy is resilient. But it has fueled expectations that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates further in the coming months.

The Dow rose 38.78 points (0.11 percent) to close at 34,128.05, S&P gained 11.47 points (0.28 percent) to close at 4,147.60, and the Nasdaq rose 110.45 points (0.92 percent) to close at 12,070.59.
