Brussels/Tehran/Berlin – The EU has criticized the death sentence against the German-Iranian Jamshid Sharmahd, who was imprisoned in Iran, as “unacceptable”. “The EU strongly condemns the death sentence” against Sharmahd, said Nabila Massrali, spokeswoman for EU chief diplomat Josep Borrell, on Thursday. She demanded consular access to the 67-year-old, who, according to his daughter, who lives in the United States, is getting worse and worse.
