Strasbourg (ots) – On Friday evening, the German Film Prize 2023 ceremony took place in the Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. ARTE is delighted with a total of nine awards, including five for the ARTE co-production “Das Lehrerzimmer” by Ilker Çatak, which also received the Lola in Gold for Best Feature Film.
Ali Abbasi’s ARTE co-production “Holy Spider” was awarded the bronze Lola.
In the “Best Documentary” category, the Lola 23 went to the ARTE co-production “Elfriede Jelinek – Letting the language off the leash”. Another trophy of the most important German film award went to Jördis Triebel for the best female supporting role in the ARTE co-produced film “In a country that no longer exists” by Aelrun Goette. Tanja Hausner was awarded for the best costume design in “Sisi & Ich”.
