A report was received that a babysitter abused a 15-month-old child, and the police launched an investigation.

According to the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency, a parental report was received recently stating that “A child caretaker in his 60s abused his 15-month-old son B by hitting or pushing him from June of last year until recently.”

It was confirmed that the CCTV installed in Group B’s house contained scenes of Mr. A hitting Group B’s thigh with his filial son’s hand or pushing his body.

Mr. A is known to have claimed that there was no intention of abuse in the fact-finding investigation in Ganghwa-gun.

On the 17th, Ganghwa-gun suspended Mr. A’s childcare qualifications and started a full investigation.

The police plan to call B’s parents and A’s in turn to investigate the exact circumstances.
