World champions participate in different categories of field and track events. Al Qarni finished the race in 13 minutes and 23 seconds. The Qatar Athletics Federation participates in various competitions as part of preparations for the Asian Athletics Championship in Bangkok in July, the World Championship in Budapest in August and the Asian Games in China in November.
