Ana Marwan, who grew up in Ljubljana, won the Klagenfurt Bachmann Prize in June 2022 with her text “The Green Toad”. Her second book “Verpuppt”, which she had previously published in Slovenian, was published in January. The 42-year-old is married to Ottensheimer David Marwan. In the interview, she talks regarding her first poem, which she wrote when she was seven, and how writing expands her world.
