Kuala Lumpur, May 24 / WAM / The Malaysian media paid attention to the visit of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed
Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi to Malaysia at present, and confirmed that it would strengthen the distinguished relations between the UAE and Malaysia in light of what the two countries witnessed signing a joint declaration of intent regarding launching talks to reach a comprehensive economic partnership agreement between them.
Malaysian media confirmed in their reports the strong relations between the two countries, noting that the United Arab Emirates is Malaysia’s second largest trading partner and an important export destination.
For its part, the Malaysian News Agency Bernama published extensive reports on the relations between the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia, stressing that these relations are on the right path, in light of the two countries’ endeavor to access more areas of fruitful cooperation between them.
The Malaysian newspaper, The Star, paid attention to the meeting of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, with His Majesty Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayat al-Din al-Mustafa Billah Shah at the National Palace “Istana Negara” in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, as part of his official visit to Malaysia.
She referred to the granting of His Majesty the King of Malaysia .. His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed and two high-ranking medals, namely the “Pahang Order of the Royal Family” (Darga Kirabat Sri Indira Mahkota Pahang Yang Amat Dihurmati – known as DK), in addition to the “Highest Medal”. To the Defender of the Kingdom” (Medal of Seri Maharaja Mangku Negara – known as IMN), in appreciation of His Highness’s role in consolidating the friendly relations between the UAE and Malaysia.
The newspaper stressed that the visit of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed would strengthen the good and long-term relations between Malaysia and the UAE.
For its part, the Malaysian newspaper (My Metro) focused on the UAE and Malaysia’s agreement to launch negotiations to establish a comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the two countries.
The newspaper stressed that this agreement gives great impetus to strengthen the existing partnership through more strategic cooperation to promote and advance new bilateral economic and trade opportunities.
She indicated that the agreement will be comprehensive and of mutual benefit covering trade in goods and services, investment, economic cooperation, and emerging areas of common interest that must be agreed upon.
