As announced in recent days, Marcelino is officially the new coach of theOlympic Marseille. He succeeds Igor Tudor, who left at the end of the 2022/2023 season.
“Passed by many historic clubs, Marcelino García Toral has forged a reputation thanks to his tactical culture and the trophies gleaned during his career”, writes OM in a press release.
No information has filtered regarding his contract, but he should commit to two seasons, until 2025, with the Marseille club. After Luis Miro (1962-1963), Javier Clemente (2000-2001) and Michel (2015-2016), Marcelino is the fourth Spaniard to sit on the bench of Marseilles.
The former coach of Valencia will therefore live his first experience outside Spain.
