A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a former Massachusetts Environmental Police (MEP) employee in February in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston.
Stepheon Wells, 20, a South Boston resident, was arrested this Friday on Hemenway Street and was wanted for the shooting that claimed the life of Diva Ayuso, 32.
According to a Boston police press releaseWells was wanted on a warrant from the Dorchester District Court on charges related to murder and firearms. He is expected to stand trial in the Dorchester District Court.
The violent event occurred on February 18, when officers responded to a scene at 15 Fermoy Heights in Dorchester. Upon arrival, officers located Ayuso, a Sharon resident, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
