The Egyptian Ministry of Health issued a statement today, Sunday, following citizens in the village of Al-Aleqat in Qena governorate complained of a mysterious disease.
A mysterious disease in an Egyptian village:
After the disease spread, regarding 250 people from the village fell ill.
The statement indicated that the symptoms that patients suffer from in the village of Al-Aleqat do not form a uniform pattern, and all of them are symptoms that range from mild to moderate.
He added that the similar symptoms were:
1- High temperature.
2- Bone pain.
3- Fatigue.
4- It lasts from 3 to 5 days.
He noted that they are common symptoms of many common diseases such as cold and influenza, gastroenteritis and fever, which spread in conjunction with high weather temperatures, and disappear with:
-Comforts
Heat reducers
Drink fluids.
And she emphasized sending teams from preventive and therapeutic medicine, and epidemiological surveillance, to investigate information regarding the complaint.
Strange disease in Qus:
Yesterday, local media quoted an official source in the Health Directorate, some details of the distress submitted by the citizens, regarding the presence of a disease affecting the people of Nagaa Sanad in the village of Al-Aleqat in the Qus Center, south of Qena Governorate.
He explained that samples were taken from citizens to confirm the type of infection.
A team from the Health Directorate carried out a spraying operation once morest insects and mosquitoes throughout the village last Thursday, due to rumors that the symptoms were spread by mosquitoes.
