Fake doctor is arrested by the PNP.
The cure was more expensive than the disease. Last Wednesday and following an investigative work by the ATV News unit, a false doctor fell who even supplied expired medicines to his patients.
According to the report, it was possible to corroborate that this doctor used a professional title in the name of another doctor and that it was not the first time that he impersonated other health personnel to get away with it.
After it was confirmed that this doctor was practicing the profession without being a doctor and that he supplied medication to patients without any responsibility, the Peruvian National Police arrived at the house of a woman who suffered from diabetes, where they found that the serum that he used with a supposed “miracle medicine”, was nothing more than water.
Astonished by the police presence, the subject only managed to sit down and declare that, indeed, he was not the doctor he claimed to be, for which reason he revealed that his real name was Arturo Tapia Cruz.
Another important piece of information that became known through this report is that in Apurímac this subject worked under a false name and title and no one can explain how he came to be the deputy director of the Guillermo Díaz de la Vega hospital in this town. That is why a criminal and judicial process was opened once morest him.
In addition, the National Police revealed that in the city of Lima he had been using the name of a veteran doctor, Eduardo Tapia Bracamontes, who retired from the profession many years ago and currently lives in Europe.

This guy was so ruthless to his patients that they didn’t mind stealing their money. According to one of the people who suffered from diabetes, he mentioned that for a treatment he charged him 1,600 soles in which he was given several medications to control his glucose through a serum and thus, presumably the disease does not continue to progress. In addition, he charged 360 soles for laboratory tests, which the police reported that these tests were adulterated.
At the time of being intervened by the PNP crime unit, the law enforcement officers verified that the titles, cards and supposed registration to the medical college of Peru were adulterated. Even in his power, this false doctor had State medicines, which are prohibited from being sold, but as if that were not enough, these drugs were expired.
Guillermo Díaz de la Vega will be prosecuted for various crimes, including crimes once morest public health, identity theft, among others.
After corroborating the adulterated information and in flagrante delicto, the subject was arrested and taken to the police headquarters for the corresponding investigations. In addition, the troops did not stop advising patients to always check the origin of the medicines, but above all to know the identity of the doctors who treat them.
